Kale Field, Beaumont Quay

1950
Buhler, Robert
Known for his paintings of landscapes and portraits, Robert Buhler rented cottages in France and East Anglia in order to paint views he particularly favoured. Like his contemporary and fellow Royal Academician, Roger de Grey, his paintings are quiet compositions with subtle tones. Beaumont Quay is inland from Walton on the Naze in Essex. Ann Jones
