National Partners Programme Announced for 2019-2022

5 July 2018

Following the success of the first Arts Council Collection National Partners Programme (2016-2019), we are seeking three new partners for a subsequent period. These regional galleries will form a network that will collaborate on a programme of learning and engagement activity which complements a series of innovative exhibitions drawn from the Collection.

The focus of the fund is to increase the number and diversity of people experiencing the Arts Council Collection in England and to support organisational development in regional art galleries.

For many years we have supported galleries around the country with loans, touring exhibitions and curatorial training. At a time when the sector is under growing pressure to deliver with fewer resources, we hope that this partnership will enable curatorial and education teams to pursue ambitious new ideas in engaging more people.

As the Collection continues to invest in a wide range of British based artists it is hoped that the new Partners will use this national resource to reflect Arts Council England's Creative Case for Diversity in their own programmes. Partner galleries will receive an annual grant of up to £200,000 for the duration of the scheme. The programme is led by the ACC and the scheme is funded by Arts Council England through National Lottery funding.

The application process to join the scheme will open in autumn 2018 with full guidance and advice available then. Applications will be via a two stage process with a programme launch date of April 2019. Please direct any questions to ACE at this time: artscouncil.org.uk/contact-us.
