Off The Tracks

1977
Clough, Prunella
During the 1960s and 1970s Clough moved away from an entire industrial landscape and would often focus on just one element. Within these broken sequences and hard lines contrasting with softer graphite marks, it is possible to spot what caught Clough's attention - the lines giving the impression of a broken train track or a series of wires with the angles of the lines suggesting not only movement, but Clough’s particular vision of the modern world.
