Exhibition Loans
The Arts Council Collection is preparing for the next chapter in its history with exciting plans for a new, state-of-the-art collection facility in Coventry. As the UK’s major lender of modern and contemporary British art this will mean more opportunities for this significant public art collection to be used and enjoyed by both national and international audiences. In prioritising our collection move we have a loans moratorium in place until 2026.
We are honouring existing agreed loans and will consider loan requests on a case by case basis, as follows:
Significant monographic shows of historical and contemporary British artists to be presented either nationally or internationally
Lesser known works from the collection or works by artists not represented in other UK collections
We look forward to working with you in the near future and welcoming you to our new collection store in Coventry.

New Touring Exhibitions from the Collection are launched each year and travel throughout the country.
The Long Loan scheme provides loans to museums, galleries and other public institutions such as universities, charities, and hospitals.
