Long Loans

"The Arts University Bournemouth has been associated with the Arts Council Collection for more than a decade.  Throughout this time we have been able to access important works which have given students, staff and the wider public an opportunity to see parts of this unique collection of British art.  The collaboration with curatorial and professional staff at the Arts Council Collection has been of the highest order and I commend the service to others."
Professor  Stuart Bartholomew CBE
Principal and Vice‑Chancellor Arts University Bournemouth

In line with the Arts Council Collection mission to ensure modern and contemporary British art is enjoyed by as wide an audience as possible, the Long Loan scheme supports the loan of artworks to public institutions, including universities, colleges, libraries and hospitals as well as museums and galleries. Works are loaned for a period of between three and five years and the Arts Council Collection technical team support the delivery and installation. A fee for these loans is calculated based on the value and number of artworks requested.

Please note that as the Arts Council Collection prepares to move to a new state-of-the-art storage facility in Coventry, we currently have a loans moratorium in place until 2026.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to working with you in the near future.
